Executed 1990, this work is one of 1,000 unique works in various sizes. The series was completed in 2000.

The artist has said in the early 1990s... "In India and Nepal, cow dung is used as fuel for cooking and heating. In the West, a lot of money is spent on removing the stuff. One third of the children in Nepal suffer from burns, because they are getting too close to the fire when they are cold or hungry. Nepal has no burns unit. A few years ago I started collecting cowpats and turning them into bronze in the quickest way (just burning them away.) I sell the bronze cowpats in the West, in order to build a burns unit in the East."
